Their Royal Highnesses start their day by highlighting Canadian military traditions and achievements, which demonstrates their support for the serving men and women of the Canadian Forces and their families. They visit HMC Dockyard Esquimalt and kick of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Navy, which will be held in 2010.  His Royal Highness receives the Royal Salute and inspects the Guard of Honour. Their Royal Highnesses attend a reception at the Admiral’s residence to meet members of the naval family, including serving, retired and civilian supporters.           

They then fly to Ottawa and proceed to Rideau Hall where they are met by The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada and His Excellency Jean-Daniel Lafond.
